So we get another couple of stock Multi-Pedal units as JAM like to call them. Obviously where besides the David Gilmourish ’Pink Flow’ those are typically wholly custom shop pedals. While on this occasion Greg Koch’s Kochness Monster enters the main range - in 2 editions - Standard, and Supreme.
The Standard Kochness Monster Edition will retail at $790 and comes with 4 Effects - Lucy Dreamer Overdrive, Eureka Fuzz, Harmonious Monk Tremolo and Delay Llama.
The Supreme Kochness Monster Edition will retail at $2290 and comes with 10 Effects - Wahcko Wah, RetroVibe Uni-Vibe, Signature Greg Koch Gristle King Overdrive (JAM Pedals remaster), Eureka Fuzz, Lucy Dreamer Overdrive, Boomster Boost, Waterfall Chorus, Harmonious Monk Tremolo, Delay Llama (Slapback), and Delay Llama Extreme.
All are familiar classic JAM Pedals effects - with the exception of the Gristle King remake / remaster. Each of those boards are single units - powered from a single socket, and arranged in a specific sequence, but with the ability to sync Tap Tempo across several effects!
The Smaller Standard unit is obviously more of an ’Essentials’ fly-rig, while the larger Supreme Edition - is the kitchen-sink edition - for bigger gigs, and studio work! Both units are very fairly priced for the scale of their onboard contents, and beautifully hand-finished in Kochness Monster orange livery.
I’m obviously more of an individual pedals Pedalboard type of guy - so these large all-in-one solutions will never really be for me - but I really like the thought and craftsmanship that goes into these fantastic quality JAM Pedal ones in particular. Their ’Pink Flow’ all-in-one David Gilmour themed unit is also pretty essential if you’re into that sort of thing!
Really nicely done in any case, and I’m sure it will appeal to a certain type of player / customer. I highly rate pretty much all of those effects, while my preference is to have them individually rather than in the one mahoosive unit - or two for that matter!
It’s still an admirable accomplishment every which way, and perfect obviously for Greg Koch’s needs!
Available for pre-orders currently on the JAM Pedals site - as before - the smaller Standard 4-Effects unit is $790 and equivalent (+ taxes as appropriate), and the larger Supreme 10-Effects unit is $2290 and equivalent.
If I were ever to commission such a unit for myself - it would have somewhat different effects in play - but would definitely include the Rattler, Harmonious Monk, Eureka, Octaurus, Red Muck, RetroVibe and Ripply Fall!
