CTC has wholly updated its White Whale All-analog Trem-Verb with a slew of extra features and modes, and increased fidelity and versatility - this surfer’s delight just got even better!

Both effects now are entirely separated internally - and each comes with 3 modes of operation - different spring combinations on the Reverb Side, and now 3 different Tremolo Modes - including a brand new Harmonic variety. You can set the relative position of the Tremolo - Pre/Post, and the Reverb’s power amp has been upgraded for more fidelity and headroom - giving up to +20dB of boost. The separate Volumes really help you to get the best balance out of both sides.

The Reverb Playback Modes are now 2-Springs Short (to Medium), 2-Springs Medium (to Long), and 3-Springs Long. While for the other side we have Tube, Optical and Harmonic Tremolo - the last mentioned of which has further Hard/Soft options.

Controls - REVERB } Volume, Mode : Long / Short / Medium, Dwell, Mix, Tone, Reverb Footswitch; TREMOLO } Volume, Speed, Mode : Tube / Optical / Harmonic : Hard/Soft, Intensity, Pre/Post Switch, Tremolo Footswitch.

Ports - Input, Reverb Expression, Remote, 9V DC [-] 180mA, Tremolo Expression, Output.

I believe it’s the only fully analog Trem-Verb offering in this neat and unique form-factor. The only down-side if there is one is the fact that this is not a stereo solution. It’s very much an end-of-chain pedal - so alas it won’t fit in with my rig - but I imagine a lot of players are going to really love this!

Versatile True Spring Tank Reverb with 3-Mode Analog Tremolo - this is like a Strymon Flint on steroids - but All-Analog! (Note - it lacks the Flint’s stereo output of course).

I really love this concept! But not everything is necessarily suited to my rig. This is really well priced too for everything you’re getting here - Christos at CTC is properly on a roll these days!

The White Whale V2 is available for orders from the Crazy Tube Circuits Webstore, where it goes for - €349 | $359 | £299. Should be imminently available at select International Dealers too.

The V1 White Whale was already impressive as was - while Christos has elevated it on every level here. I love the subtle wavy pattern in the design - and it’s a cool sort of surfy colour too. Great improvements all-round!
