Your eyes do not deceive you! BIG EAR pedals has indeed launched a brand new 3-knob Silicon Fuzz in the shape of this extraordinary and uniquely formed and 3D-rendered SLICE OF PIE PIZZA FUZZ - coming in both Pepperoni and Cheese artwork editions while the underlying circuit remains the same.

In terms of what kind of fuzz this is derived from - the shape, name, and indeed 3-control knob topology kind of gives the game away - I will let you figure that out for yourselves. While the controls here are Gain, Tone and Volume - courtesy of 3 mini knobs. This is a beautifully voiced fuzz - warm, lower gain and more open than its inspiration and much more dynamic. It has plenty of mid frequency content with a flatter EQ across the board.

This is a collaboration with those wonderful folks over at the Tone Mob Podcast. While Jesse Rhew from Rude Tech did the 3D modelling for the enclosure - based on a sketch that Grant gave him, and then those enclosures are bent into shape by the same workshop that does 1981 Inventions. Powder coating and UV printing by F5 Metalworks!

In terms of the circuit design - that was carried out in cooperation with Zach Broyles of Mythos Pedals fame - where Grant and Karen handled the mods and the parts selection. Karen also did all the graphics and packaging design as well - the attention to detail is incredible!

The concept and theme is totally carried through to the NYC style Pizza Slice take-away boxes with similar ’condiment’ accompaniment! Each one comes complete with the finest linen-feel napkin, stickers, temporary tattoos, a pick, a pin and, of course, two packs of crushed red pepper!

For those who are concerned about the pedal’s footprint it actually comes in at a very reasonable size of 5.2” x 3.4” x 1.4“ (132mm x 85 mm x 35mm). It of course comes with top-mounted jacks and power socket (standard 2.1mm 9V DC [-]) - with just 2mA of current draw. Where overall weight is 11.2 oz / c318gms.

BIG EAR pedals and the Tone Mob Podcast are jointly launching the pedal today 9th February as of now 13:00 EST. These will be exclusively available for $199 from the BIG EAR pedals Webstore - and comes in two different artwork editions - Pepperoni and Cheese as mentioned in the introduction.

Time to tuck in to a SLICE OF PIE PIZZA heaven! Who doesn’t love Pizza!
