And so we have a rather intriguing new pedal from Alexander Pedals - which looks like something you would typically be more likely to see coming out from Old Blood Noise Endeavors!

This new Forget Me Not Digital 4-Head Tape Delay is quite different from Alexander’s current models - which typically come with a handy mini screen. On this occasion though we have a much more traditional pedal - with no screen, and no hidden or secondary functions - everything is fully surfaces on this new pedal - and instantly accessible and tweakable.

So what we have here is a really smart extended range 4-head 900ms Delay, which can also deliver Reverb sounds. You have 2 rows of knobs that configure the main parameters, and then a row of option switches - which take the pedal into even more interesting territory.

Those switches include Tap Divisions, Spacing, Stereo Spread, Degrade (Lo-Fi), 3 Waveforms, and options for Trails. Oh - and you get 4 onboard presets, and 32 via MIDI.

This is full-stereo pedal - with separate outputs, but single input. The single input can take TRS cable for Stereo input too, and you can choose whether you output via TRS cable also, or by using 2 x TS cables into the individual L Out and R Out ports.

Controls - Time, Swell, Blend, Tone, Tape Head Level Controls : A | B | C | D, Rate, Depth, Tap Divisions : 8th / Dot / QTR, Spacing, Spread, Degrade, Wave : Rand / Square / Sine, Trails : Off / On / Auto, Tap Tempo Footswitch, Preset Footswitch : 1-4, Bypass Footswitch.

I feel there is much to like here - including a reasonable pricetag, and a very easy-to-use elegant control topology - but where all those controls give you really extended range and variations.

I’ve always loved Tape style delays - so this pedal very much appeals to me. For sure it goes on the list, but is definitely behind the Strymon BigSky MX on the acquisitions list.

The Forget Me Not 4-Head Tape style Delay / Reverb is priced at $399 - exclusively available from Alexander’s Dealer Network. You can read up more about the pedal via the Alexander Forget Me Not Product Page.
