Interestingly this will likely be the 3rd Subdecay derived Filter Pedal I acquire in a row - following my acquisition of a Prometheus Deluxe, and the Subdecay-designed / Prometheus derived All-Pedal Macrodose. And here we have the Korg MS-20 Analog Mono Synth Inspired Subdecay 3 - which puts all other filter pedals to shame!
It is evidently something of a complex pedal - particularly in Edit Mode, while I think it’s the kind of pedal where you just have to play through all the Banks and Patches / Variations to see what’s what (very much like the Boss SY-1) - and tweak those various parameters as you go.
Subdecay has actually done a fantastic job of detailing all the key settings and parameters on the pedal facia - which are sensibly arranged in rows per Bank Type.
There’s 3 Modes at your disposal :
I would imagine most would spend most of their time in Banks Mode - getting a feel for the scope and breadth of the pedal - before then saving specific User Presets, and or doing Deeper Edits.
There are supposedly 40 Parameters in total :
Including :
Auto Set, Clean, Depth, Envelope, Frequency, Gate, Gates, HP Limit, LED, Levels, LFO A, LFO B, LFO C, LP Limit, LPF, LPF LFO’s, Post, Pre, Resonance, Shape (Waveform), Slope, Speed, Tap Ratio, Tremolo, Warp.
They are handily arranged in neat rows per Bank Type!
The Prometheus 3 Dual Super Filter is available for pre-orders right now on the Subdecay Webstore for $350. And they should start landing around a couple of weeks from now. This will of course come into stock at my friend Joe Light’s Joe’s Pedal Boutique soon enough - where I hope to acquire mine from!
At the time of writing there was no proper manual online - just the following diagrams :
