Supposedly a workshopped evolution of MXR’s classic Blue Box Octave Fuzz which delivers a hugely extended range 4-Voice Octaver, Modulator and Fuzz - all of which can be used individually and in combination.

So you have a sort of 4 Octave POG style pedal, with excellent note tracking, that you can add organ-like LFO Movement / Modulation to, and a rather great sounding fuzz voicing too.

Controls - Fuzz On/Off Button, Mono / Poly button, Dry Level, Sub-1 Level, Sub-2 Level, Modulation Rate, Oct+1 level, Oct+2 Level.

You adjust the Fuzz Volume by Press/Holding the Fuzz Button and adjusting the Dry knob.

Modulation can be turned off by rotating the knob fully CCW, where the Modulation simulates a Leslie Speaker effect in Poly Mode, and a sort of Phase 90 in Mono Mode or rather Modern and Vintage style voicings.

For me of course this gets filed under ’Multi-Octave Modulated Fuzz’ where this produces a really distinctive flavour of Fuzz. I’ve long been keen to get an extended octave range fuzz - and this offers up so many capabilities and options. It really does provide and amazing relatively clean Octaver and a really great sounding Fuzz - there’s not too much finessing about the Modulation - just speed and off really - but that too adds worthwhile textures and can be used as a Phaser, pseudo-Tremolo, and Rotary Speaker Effect even.

For 3-Effects-in-1 this is a very well priced pedal at $199 / €199 / £199. As with the recent Deep Phase Mini this will likely come into stock fairly soon in the USA, while we Europeans will probably need to wait around a month or so for it to land. I’m for sure getting one - it’s Blue sparkly multi-hued paint-job and clear knobs make it a very attractive proposition indeed.

Anyone else here thinking of getting one?
