J Rockett's latest release is the Excellent Billy Gibbons inspired El Hombre Texas Blues Fuzzy Drive

I just recently stated (during my 6-Band Trifecta review) that my next likely J Rockett pedals would be the Animal and Majestic - while I had not counted on there being such an apt release in the interim.

Readers know that I’m a sucker for Billy Gibbons Fuzzy Drive tones - and a big fan of those sorts of pedals - including the various Expandora types and pedals like Mythos’s Chupacabra.

Controls - Volume, Gain, Bite.

We have a fairly standard 3 controls here - where the third one is ’Bite’ - which is often synonymous with Presence. Basically you get more snap and bite when you crank it, and a smoothing effect in the other direction.

I believe this is designed more to cover the early ZZ Top albums - and it for sure delivers some delectable Texas Blues Fuzzy Drive tones. I have quite a high affinity for these kinds of pedals - meaning this pips my acquisition schedule and is now my most wanted J Rockett pedal.
