The original Reverend was already a phenomenal multi-stage gain pedal - the result of an intense 4 year development project that I was fortunate enough to participate in.

The fact that my good friend Guillem managed to squeeze everything into such a tiny enclosure is simply a latter-day engineering marvel, and the pedal truly sounds superb. We spent a lot of time A/B-ing different OpAmps to establish which one was consistently great and the the overall greatest sounding across all 4 modes. The OP07 was the final unanimous choice, and it really does deliver consistently great results.

Controls : Gain, Level, Tone, Mode : I Crunch / II Overdrive / III Distortion / F Forbidden Fuzz, Clipping Dip 1 : Stock Silicon / LED, Bass Boost Dip 2 : Boost / Off. Footswitch is intelligent and automatically senses Momentary and Latching behaviour.

Note that you now have a further option - a Fuzz Mode Remote - which connects via new 1/8" socket next to the power socket.

For this new V2 edition there are essentially 4 new features :

  • Intelligent Footswitch - Auto Momentary and Latching
  • Bass Boost per original Expandora
  • LED Clipping Option
  • Optional Remote Switch which allows you to instantly trigger the Fuzz Mode

The 2 dip-switch options are in fact moved directly across from the larger Reverend XX Pedal - which also has a further Germanium clipping Option. I typically play my Reverend XX with the LED Clipping Mode engaged, and Bass Boost on - so I’m delighted that we’re now getting all that in the smaller model.

The Silver Sparkle Reverend goes for €175, and the Fire Red and Stealth Black are €182, and the Remote switch is an additional €45. Equivalent to $190, $199 and $49, and £149, £155 and £38. All available for pre-order on the Decibelics Webstore. Nota that shipping and taxes are extra!

Guillem is right in the middle of several new projects - with a healthy release schedule materialising very soon. My Reverend V2 will be part of the same first pre-order batch as everyone else’s - so around 3-4 weeks out!

It was already next level to pack the core Expandora feature set into a mini pedal - and now we’re going up yet another level - one of the most versatile gain machines out there at any size - even more formidable in the latest V2 edition.

There are no new demos yet - this is mostly about announcing the [PREORDERS]. While I will reference a couple of older classic demos - to put you in the mood! The new demos will come once some of these are properly out in the wild!
