This was always a no-brainer for TC Electronic - really just a matter of when they decided to pull the trigger, and this is truly a fantastic proposition - coming with Bluetooth App Control by default for just  a $179 / €189 / £179 outlay. You get the creme-de-la-creme of TC Electronic Flagship pedals all in one unit! If you have any passing knowledge of TC Electronic Effects then this is a must-have acquisition.

So this doesn’t cover off the various recent Ampworx pedals, in fact none of the gain pedals are covered - while we do have the essential modulations, delays, reverbs, pitch and utility pedals all-in-one. In the visual I divided the modulations off to the right hand size - while the below list is simply alphabetical :

The 14 TC Electronic Pedals Covered :

  • Brainwaves Pitch Shifter
  • Corona Chorus
  • Flashback 2 Delay and Looper
  • Hall of Fame 2 Reverb
  • Helix Phaser
  • HyperGravity Compressor
  • Mimiq Doubler
  • Pipeline Tap Tempo Tremolo
  • Quintessence Harmonizer
  • Sentry Noise Gate
  • Shaker Vibrato
  • Sub ’N’ Up Octaver
  • Viscous Vibe
  • Vortex Flanger

The screen is a little wee I supposed, but it does enough! The Bluetooth connectivity is what really makes this essential as this devices is all about swapping in and out TonePrint Presets settings from said TonePrint library - and the easiest way to manage all that activity is via a Bluetooth App - which is of course the chosen vehicle here.

The Plethora X3 and X5 didn’t really fit my sensibilities or pedal-chain methodology - but being able to get all those fantastic Artist-Specific TonePrints in such a handy way and format - is just perfect!

I will definitely be getting one of these in the new year - everything about this pedal is nigh perfect - including its price point!
