My good friend Phil doubles down on his killer Sun? No Model T Preamp to create the even more expansive Sun? Never Edition.
The previous single sided Sun? No has 5 controls - with an additional ’Mode’ switch - which allows you to flip between Vintage and Reissue levels of Gain Saturation.
"The mode switch allows access to both ’vintage’ and ’reissue’ levels of saturation."
For the new one - both Channels have the ’Reissue’ level of gain saturation, and we get an additional ’Custom’ EQ Mode.
The Volume, Gain and Tone controls are as before :
Sun? Never Controls - 2 x Volume, Gain, Tone, EQ : MVC (Modern / Vintage / Custom), and independent Footswitches for each Channel.
This is the same circuit as pervious - composed of cascading opamp and JFET gain stages - for a high octane output. It sound wonderfully richly textured and imposing. I really like the Model T sound - and this is for sure one of the very best of that genre! There is a vast range of Volume and Gain at your fingertips here!
The price for the Sun? Never Double T Preamp is very fair @ £195 (c$249) - and of course available direct from the Bleak District Electric Webstore.
I’ve been wanting to add the original Sun? No to the collection for a while - it seems that this Sun? Never though is an even better proposition - with a tonne more flexibility in playback. So probably the one to go for!
I’ve fallen a little behind on my Bleak District acquisitions - I need to get back up to speed pronto!
There are alas no new demos yet to accompany this release - so I will reference some of the original single pedal Sun? No edition.
