My good friend Dan @ Buzzing Bugs Audio has a super sale on for the whole of this month - in order to gather funds for some exciting new projects in early 2025.
I was instrumental in getting Dan to switch to higher quality Milled Aluminium knobs - which fully reflect the quality of his well thought out circuits.
I have all 4 of these - all are excellent, while I particularly favour the BB01 Fuzzy Voxy Preamp, and the BB03 Lo-Fi Chorus / Vibrato / Warble - with Reverb - both of those ...
So Chase Bliss obviously laid down a seasonal marker with its magnificent take on the Mystery Box. And now it’s Blammo’s turn to impress - where all its pedals for the remainder of the year come with a free Snowman Ornament Transparent Lexan Pedal Bonus for the festive season - where said Ornament / Pedal can also hit your pedalboard if you so desire! Or else just hang from your tree!
The following Instagram post carries those details that currently exist : www.instagram.com/p/DDA46iXSWyD/...
This is very much the V3 Edition of the previously known Brent Mason Hot Wired Dual Overdrive/Distortion Pedal.
I’ve included the previous V2 version of that - so you can compare the control topologies :
Hot Wired V2 Controls - OVERDRIVE (Clarksdale Screamer) } Volume, Gain, Tone, Blend, Bass Boost : Fat / Normal / Fatter, Overdrive Footswitch; DISTORTION } Volume, Gain, Tone, Bass Boost : Fat / Normal / Fatter, Distortion Footswitch.
The new Re Wired adds an Order Switch, and makes ...
Whenever I see pink pedals I always think of Guitar Nerds Joe Branton and Matt Knight - who favour that particular hue - they both need to get on this gorgeous new Geiger Counter Pro Bitcrusher/Waveshaper Edition - particularly essential for Bass - so surely a must-have for Joe!
There was also a limited edition run of 100 Black colourway variants - which is already sold out - but this rarer run is the more attractive of the two - while I guess just a handful still remain unclaimed!

November has been a crazy month! With such a flurry of activity from around the middle of the month onwards. So many companies took full advantage of Black Friday promotions - and the smartest of them started early, and extended their campaign through to the 2nd or 6th of December - in order to be able to take advantage of 2 pay packets!
If you started your Black Friday sales with just a week to go or less - then alas you’re bang out of touch with the new paradigm shift. The early bird ...
I’m known to collect extended range editions of the DOD250 - mostly evolved and derived - while I’ve always harboured a desire also to acquire a genuine grey box 250 of some description. So this limited run seems to be the perfect opportunity for me.
This pedal celebrates the 1974 original in so many ways - including that it’s made / assembled in the USA with fully through-hole components - like the original - for easy modding.
The pedal also includes the essential original LM741 OpAmp,...
So Anasounds has used Black Friday to spring-load its new FX Teacher project launch - a smart BluesBreaker take. Of course it has the same core 3 control knobs as the original - Output, Gain, and Tone, while it has 2 further toggle switches. The first ’Voice’ one allows you to shave off some of that circuit’s inherent brightness - or ’dampen’ the top end as such. Wile the second ’Disto’ switch engages a 3rd Gain Stage which carries the pedal into distortion territory.
It’s interesting that ...
We’ve had a slew of evolved / Tube Screamer adjacent pedals recently, where I felt each one wasn’t a big enough story on its own, while all 3 together here are worth a consideration, even though the humble Tube Screamer is the most copied and most ubiquitous circuit out there - there really should not be a need for any more into that category - but here we are.
I’ve lined them up in order of their feature set - with the simplest one at the start, and the most enhanced at the far end. In ...
There are 2 significant changes to the Kaluna 250V Tube Drive. Firstly it gets a new 3-way Structure switch - which allows you to select the stock ’V1’ voicing of the predecessor, as well as a ’Hot’ Higher Gain voicing, and a ’Low’ Lower Gain voicing.
Secondly the Kaluna now has an over voltage protection circuit which safeguards the pedal in case you inadvertently connect it to a power supply which exceeds the maximum 9 Volts.
You of course have everything that made the the original ...
So over the years there have been a number of different DS-1 editions and colourways. I’ve included the most obvious and attainable ones in my main visual - including the relatively recent 40th and 50th Anniversary editions. While there have been several more through the years - including the super limited ones that marked every 1 million pedals Boss sold - including the 1998 6,000,000 Units celebration Golden DS-1, and back in 2016 we had a 3000 units limited Guitar Centre run in HM-2 ...
