Whenever I see pink pedals I always think of Guitar Nerds Joe Branton and Matt Knight - who favour that particular hue - they both need to get on this gorgeous new Geiger Counter Pro Bitcrusher/Waveshaper Edition - particularly essential for Bass - so surely a must-have for Joe!
There was also a limited edition run of 100 Black colourway variants - which is already sold out - but this rarer run is the more attractive of the two - while I guess just a handful still remain unclaimed!
There haven’t been any core Yellow ones available for a while - but those will be back again in the new year - in the lead up to Christmas and for Black Friday in particular - it’s all about the special editions.
This has exactly the same functionality and feature set of the core yellow model!
Controls : Gain, Tone, Wavetable, Mix, Filter, Samples, Bits [Mask], Bank, Table [Morph], Level, Master, CVI & CV2 Selections, Random Feature, Preset#, [Save][Manual], Activate Footswitch, Preset Down, Preset Up.
Rear Ports : Input, MIDI In, 9V DC [-] 200mA, CV/EXP2, CV/EXP1, Output.
I’ve always admired this legendary King of the Bitcrushers! But it’s a lot of real estate to dedicate to that sort of effect for me - will suit some very well though - and in particular Bass players. For me - the regular 1590-BB vertical enclosure edition is more my speed - they need to bring that one out in the Pink Colourway - and I would then snap it up rapido!
There are very limited amounts of the Pink Geiger Counter Pro available - but the remaining ones if any can be ordered from the WMD Devices Webstore if you’re super quick - where they go for $649 and equivalent (£484).
