Old Blood Noise Endeavors levels up and stereofies its favourite flagship Dark Star Soundscape Textured Reverb
So OBNE has souped up its former compact Dark Star Pad Reverb - where you previously had 3 separate and independent modes of operation - Pitch / Delay / Crush.
For this new enlarged Stereo edition OBNE allows you to use all those textural elements together - with more options and a far higher degree of granularity. This really is a very distinct Reverb sound, and all the more special now with having the ability to mix up those different elements to your own preferences - where on the other side of the Sample Reduction knob - you now also get an interestingly textured Overdrive.
Controls - Filter (< HPF | LPD >). Pitch 1 & Pitch 2 (independent shifters with -2OCT > +2OCT), Crush (< Sample Redux | Overdrive >, Lag (Pre-Delay), Multiply (Feedback), Decay, Volume, Mix, Stereo Spread, AUX Footswitch (Infinite Sustain / Close LPF / Set Pitches to +1 OCT), Bypass Footswitch. With some secondary global controls too.

This is actually a really fabulous Stereo Reverb - and one that’s quite appealing to me, where I generally prefer to deploy Reverb Workstation pedals in that role - with lots of different options and flavours. This one has a set palette of Reverb ’colours’ - but you can mix them up in various clever ways. Sounds superb in the various demos.
You also have 3 onboard presets to preserve your favourite blends of those different elements!
It’s pretty well priced too at $299 and equivalent - £299 in the UK for instance. Available now via the OBNE Webstore, and imminently at leading dealers. The main / standard colourway is the blue one pictured. While OBNE also offers up Black / Monochrome, and Pink/Red colourway variants.
The original Dark Star was a long term fan favourite, but this new edition is something quite a bit more! I feel it’s going to do very well indeed. Kind of reminds me a little of the AC Noices Ricorda - but both are also quite different animals - adjacent cousins if anything!
