Similar to its recent and utterly superb Prometheus 3 Dual Super Filter which I have and love - Subdecay now takes the same kitchen-sink approach to its Tremcoder Pattern Tremolo and Sequencer. You can see that its control topology is almost identical to its predecessor Prometheus sibling - with 6 main control knobs, a 3-way Mode toggle-switch, and dual footswitches.

However Sudecay seem to have gone a step further forward with the newer pedal in that each of the 4 Parameter knobs now has its own status LED - where for the Prometheus 3 all those knobs shared the same LED - which did though change colour for different parameter selections. On the new Tremcoder II - one would assume that the pedal keeps you far better informed via visual means - as to what the various active parameter selections are.

Controls - Shape / Preset : 0 - 10, Mode : Tremolo / User / Sequencer, Ratio : 0 - 10 / Tap Divisions, Volume, Shape / Warp : 0 - 10, Depth, Rate / Ratio / Beats : 0 - 10, Tap Tempo / Manual Footswitch, FX Engage / Save Preset Footswitch.

Like the Prometheus 3 this kind of looks complicated on the surface - while once you get stuck in everything clears up really soon and turns out to be pretty intuitive or at least easily discoverable.

Considering the similarity in functional depth and format to the Prometheus 3, I would assume the same price of $349.

The below video is really just a teaser announcement with scant details - but you can pick up a lot from the interface and its legends - especially if you’re familiar with the recent Prometheus which has pretty much the same sort of topology.

I see this as covering similar ground to my well-loved Boss SL-2 Slicer - where I really love these kinds of rhythmic pattern tremolo / sequencers. I will for sure be looking to get hold of one of the new Tremcoders at some stage in the near-ish future. Of course I need to wait for it to land at Joe’s Pedals Boutique first - I definitely want one - while my ’definitely want one list’ is kind of almost infinite now! In fact I jokingly call it the infinite wishlist!

In the meantime - you will need to keep an eye on the Subdecay website for further future announcements and updates on the final details and availability! I will likely update this one or do another article at that time - or perhaps once I’ve received and had hands-on experience with my own copy.
