I believe it was back in 2016 when Keeley first introduced the Dark Side Pink Floyd / David Gilmour style Fuzz, Delay and Modulation Workstation. Gilmour famously used a number of Big Muff pedals in his rig - both EXH originals and Pete Cornish variants - most typically Ram’s Head and Civil War varieties.

The Fuzz side of the Dark Side was developed from an Opamp basis to really cover off those classic Gilmour Silicon Muff Fuzz tones - in tandem with Multi-Head Tape Style Delay, and no less than 4 modulations - Flange, Rotary, Phase and Uni-Vibe. The original Dark Side Fuzz was already pretty formidable, but in collaboration with The Guitar Store (on Reverb.com) said Fuzz has been pretty significantly re-tooled with even more range on the Gain and Filter knobs, and an entirely re-developed filter section which gives you much greater and more refined Tone control than before.

Controls - Level, Filter (Tone / EQ), Fuzz (Gain), EQ Profile : Flat, Full, Scooped.

The controls are the same number and nature as on the Dark Side, while that Fuzz was more narrowly focused on Gilmour’s classic tones, while he Moon Fuzz has a somewhat more expansive palette - with more range on each of those dials, combined with the more refined and precise Filter control.

This means that the output is louder, deeper, thicker and beefier overall - with significantly more aggression than its predecessor. Andy Martin comes up with the best demo here - really playing to the strengths of this Fuzz and showing what it can do.

I listened to that demo first, and acquired the pedal immediately thereafter! This pedal is only available courtesy of The Guitar Store on Reverb.com - where it goes for the very reasonable sum of $149.

This is one of the best-sounding extended Range Muffs out there and is hugely versatile.

Robert Keeley seems to be on something of a roll for me these days - as this is 3rd of his that I’ve acquired in quick succession!

Anyone else as keen on this as I am?
