The new format of Blues Power has elicited mixed feeling from the pedal community. A little ’Marmite’ I guess - with some loving the new rounded enclosure style with inset knobs - while others are being far from complementary. It’s kind of reminiscent of some former Danelectro enclosure shapes - while very much its own thing. And those flush inset knobs actually look really cool.

It’s a touch unusual to have the In/Out TS Patch Cable socket stacked on top of each other - but I feel this approach overall works really well. You further have 4 voicing Dip-Switches fully surface accessible on the rear of the pedal.

Controls - Drive, Volume, Voicing : Edge / Stock / Glass, Bass, Treble, Dip-switches : Scooped / Punch / Kington / Cranked.

Rear ports : Mono In / Out, 9-18V DC [-], Current Draw?

It’s well documented that the circuit origins seem to be based in significant part on the Timmy circuit - with a few tweaks on from that - so let’s call it a loosely based on!

I quite like the Timmy circuit - and have both the compact original and mini MXR edition - obviously I have other overdrive circuit genres I prefer - as is represented by the reference collection. While I would not be adverse to adding one of these.

All the King Tone stuff is usually pretty great - and I own 4 pedals from that brand. The Blues Power would definitely be a nice-to-have.

The Blues Power is usually available from the King Tone Webstore - while it’s typically made in small batches - and you will have to wait a while between batches if there are none in stock when you check! These go for $299!

I’m still waiting for the Octaland to become available in the same silver colourway as my Duellist and MiniFuzz - it’s been a long very long wait. I see Jesse has just recently made the MiniFuzz in red colourway too - so hopefully we will get a silver Octaland fairly soon.

I’ve put off publishing this as there are scant demos out their of the new pedal - so I’ve included the the two I could find, along with a demo of the earlier larger variant of said pedal!
