Laney builds on its family recent 8-knob 60W Ironheart Foundry Loudpedal - where it adds the Secretpath Reverb with its own Level Control and Footswitch, alongside a new Master Balancing EQ Tone control, and further Boost option. So taking the guts of the original pedal to higher levels, where the new Ironeheart and Lionheart pedals are collaborations with long term Laney artists - Martin Miller, and Tom Quayle. These are weirdly not billed so much as signature pedals for those artists - but rather more ’collaborations’ - not sure of the purpose of such a distinction!
So the Ironheart Loudpedal is based on that source amp’s full-throated 6L6 proper rock-textured output, albeit rendered via solid state components here. Where the Lionheart takes on the somewhat AC30 adjacent EL84 profile of its source tube amp. Both Loudpedal Floor Amps are intended as full-featured and standalone rigs - using the DSP LA·IR (Laney Advanced Impulse Response) solution for a potent XLR DI Out. Compared to the original amps - you get an additional boost on these Loudpedals, where their core Reverb sound is derived from the Laney Secretpath Reverb Pedal.
Obviously there have a been a slew of these kinds of floor amp pedals fairly recently - with examples from Victory Amps, Thermion, Tsakalis AudioWorks - and of course Friedman also. These are proper Analog Solid State amplifiers - with DSP IR’s for DI direct output.
Both the Laney Tom Quayle endorsed Lionheart Loudpedal, and Martin Miller endorsed Ironheart Loudpedal are available for orders from the Laney Webstore, and a number of International Dealers.
