Wishing You a Happy Xmas and a Wonderful New Year! And thank you for sharing the journey!

2021 has for sure been an interesting year with new and unusual challenges. Another very busy year for me at Guitar Pedal X - where this is the 273rd article published this year! Some cool highlights - including my Key Guitar Effects by Pedal Type - where I covered off Mini and Compact Editions - I will of course be updating those, and will be adding a Medium enclosure edition in the new year!

Obviously some really innovative and great sounding pedals released this year - which I’ve covered in my very recent category roundups. While at certain times of the year things were pretty tough for me - so nice to emerge relatively unscathed in the end!

Storage space is now starting to become an issue as the Reference Collection has fairly long since passed 600 units - I will for sure need to slow down a touch next year and be way more selective in my acquisitions.

I do hope you have enjoyed the journey thus far - as this is really about shining a light on as many quality pedals as possible and giving you more options as well as a better informed decision making process - towards making the right decisions for your own rig and saving time and effort on the acquisition trail.

There are for sure many more adventures to come - and don’t be shy if you want me to focus or beam in on a specific area.

I’m broadly very satisfied with where my own Pedal-Chain has gotten to this year - it’s never been stronger really - while I’m still seeking the perfect pedal for a couple of those slots - and I’m looking to be further pleasantly surprised in 2022!

I’m already aware of a number of killer releases for January / February - so 2022 will certainly be off to a great start!

I hope like me you have been able to enjoy quality time with your family over the Christmas / Holiday Season - and that you come back in 2023 fully re-energized and refreshed! This is my last post of the year - I’m on proper vacation now for the next couple or so weeks - you will see something new around the start of the second week in January - while it could be sooner!
