This has long been my favourite octave pedal - which took me 6 months to chase down originally - as they first weren’t available for overseas purchase, and then were in very short supply.
The Triplegraph has an amazingly robust construction - beautifully engineered - and a pedal that gets daily use from me! I would like to see some enhancements to the format - so we get more DigiTech Whammy / Boss S-Bend functionality here also - so we can set the Rise and Fall Time, and select additional intervals to just octave up and octave down. If it could do the Tom Morello and Nova Twins stuff too - it would be even more ingenious than it already is.
The original yellow edition was a bit much for me, so I happily settled on the standard black. CopperSound have recently done 3 further custom colours for Jack White - in Blue, Red, and Copper colourways - where it’s not decided yet if any of those will be made available for public consumption - but likely!
So this limited 300 run of Soft White is only the 3rd colourway generally available - which will be on a first-come - first-serve basis on the Third Man Records Reverb.com Store. Costing just a touch more than the standard model I believe or thereabouts -@ $449, the limited edition comes with a Jack White signed, and numbered certificate of authenticity!
I’m still incredibly happy with my Black Standard Edition - which is still my favourite edition so far, while I might be tempted by the Red colourway if that ever gets made available! The Soft White edition is pretty cool too!
Nothing wrong with the Standard Black Edition - been serving me faithfully for years!
Very limited numbers of this were available, and if memory serves - only really accessible to Americans via the Third Man Records Store, kind of bothered me a little initially, but the Black version is much more my style anyway!
Only made for Jack White's touring requirements so far - but one or more of these colours may see it into more general production eventually - most likely the Red edition, which seems to be the popular choice among these!
Instruction sheet for optimal Triplegraph operation!
So when I did said article (per visual) I was fully up-to-date on Jack White / Third Man Records editions, while since then Jack White has released the MXR Double Down Dual Microamp. An incredibly specialist boost pedal - which is so precisely to Jack's needs, that I can't really see any practicalities for my use. I may add that eventually just for sake of completion, but it would be a pedal I would be very unlikely to use - unlike the all-day everyday Triplegraph!
