As part of ThorpyFX’s 10 Year Anniversary Celebrations (born on 2nd November 2014) - they’re encouraging everyone to get a ’caked’ version of any of the current pedal models. Thorpy is obviously making the most use of his new super-duper Roland 4-Colour UV Printer!
And I had a lot of fun creating this visual on a background of 100’s & 1000’s / Sprinkles!
Single pedal editions will be base-coat painted yellow - with the cake design on both outward facing sides. I personally think there should be a pink knob option too! - but then I’m somewhat of an OCD obsessive / completist. The Cake Sides are surely sufficiently generous - available at no extra cost.
For the larger pedals - those will come in their standard base-coats (insides) while the outward facing sides will be printed with the colourful birthday cake motif.
The Full Thorpy Lineup is available for this celebratory slice of cake - Warthog, Camoflange MKII, Pulse Copper, Fat General, Peacekeeper, Fallout Cloud, WOPR, Scarlet Tunic, Heavy Water, Electric Lightning, Dane MKII, The Bunker, Field Marshal, and Gunshot - all usual standard pricing - which ranges from £199 (Warthog etc.) to £429 (Electric Lighting) and equivalent currencies. There is a special order page on the ThorpyFX Webstore which will be live for the birthday month, and then disappear forevermore!
Furthermore - up for grabs is a 10th Aniversary Barefoot Footswitch Button / Topper - which goes for £9 - in fetching Thorpy Purple. Also available on the ThorpyFX Webstore.
In reviewing the current range, I was a little sad to see that the FLIR Mini Buffer is no more - I always wanted one of those but never got around to getting one in - that would have been perfect for a ’caked’ version!
As mentioned, these will probably only be available for a limited time - I’m assuming for the birthday month of November - I will update this article if and when that changes.
In the meantime - it just remains for me to wish Thorpy and Georgia Many Happy Returns on 10 Years of Breaking Boundaries - for tomorrow - here’s to another great many years of the same!
